My mission is to use my personal experiences and training in environmental science to inspire conservation of the natural world and advocate for policies that promote the sustainable use of resources.

Back in 2013, I left my job as a financial analyst at a NYC law firm to pursue my dream of backpacking the globe.

From guiding photography trips in Southeast Alaska to crewing sailing trips on Maui, I've spent my time exploring the natural world, all the while honing my research, writing, photography, public speaking, and environmental communication skills.

My articles have been featured by Hakai Magazine, the Monterey County Weekly, Matador Network, Teton Gravity Research, Extra NewsFeed, the Writing Cooperative, the Valley Voice, and ThoughtCatalog. You can also check out my MuckRack profile, for a list of my most recent articles.

I've worked professionally as a ski photographer, portrait photographer, and architectural photographer, but my true passion is shooting photos to complement the stories that I write.

In 2022, I graduated from UC Santa Barbara’s Bren School with a Masters in Environmental Science and Management, with a focus in Strategic Environmental Communications. I’m currently a California Sea Grant Fellow working on offshore wind policy & permitting at the California State Lands Commission.

Here you'll find a portfolio of all my writing and a gallery of my photographs. If you're interested in learning a bit more about me, you can click below to read my bio!
