Matt Koller

Writer ~ Photographer ~ Environmental Educator

Back in 2013, I left my job as a financial analyst at a NYC law firm to pursue my dream of backpacking the globe.

From working on a vineyard in Western Australia to guiding photography trips in Southeast Alaska, I've spent my time exploring the natural world, all the while honing my passions of writing and photography.

My articles have been featured by Hakai Magazine, the Monterey County Weekly, Matador Network, Teton Gravity Research, Extra NewsFeed, the Writing Cooperative, the Valley Voice, and ThoughtCatalog. You can also check out my MuckRack profile, for a list of my most recent articles.

I've worked professionally as a ski photographer, portrait photographer, and architectural photographer, but my true passion is shooting photos to complement the stories that I write.

Here you'll find a portfolio of all my writing and a gallery of my photographs. If you're interested in learning a bit more about me, you can click below to read my bio!
